Resources for Caregivers

Taking on the responsibility of caring for a loved one is no small task. It is a commitment that requires many hours, days, and long nights. Stress is a very common occurrence for caregivers. Taking care of yourself as a paid or nonpaid caregiver may be at the bottom of your list but we want to help you move that to the top of the list.  This year, we explored Understanding Your Emotions to Help with Caregiving so you can increase your mental health and one of only ways to do that is through self-reflection. We shared with you a FREE Caregivers Journal and provided our best tips to take care of yourself and reduce stress.

Resources for Dementia Care

With care strategies on every caregiver’s mind, finding methods to elevate our care tactics is always at the top list. That is why we partnered with Rachel Wonderlin from Dementia By Day to bring monthly tips to ease your mind and bring a fresh take to dementia care. So we answered a lot of questions this year on how to manage care from In Home Activities to Stay Mentally Engaged to Tips for Handling Sundowning Challenges.

Through our blog and expert led webinars, we explored topics like How to Handle Caregiver Stress & Burnout and recognize how to Embrace Their Reality because what Rachael teaches is so different from what is normally heard in dementia care education sessions.

And, if you’re looking to heighten your fall prevention methods, we partnered with Dr. Silvia Hugec and Source of Life Technologies to provide an overview of the importance of proactive fall prevention for older adults and their caregivers, address certain predictors, and offer tips to providers to further reduce fall risk.

At the end of this now On Demand webinar you are able to:

  • Understand the health impact of falls and injuries in older adults
  • Identify health and environmental factors that can lead to increased risk of falls or injury
  • Understand easy to use steps for safer spaces
  • Gain insights into proactive options for remote monitoring opportunities
